Stephen Hawes is a well-known multi-Chartered construction professional and experienced Party Wall Surveyor. Stephen believes in a pragmatic friendly and personable approach to surveying and resolving disputes.
Stephen has worked within the construction industry for over 15 years including as a Party Wall Surveyor for his father’s practice. Before starting his own practice Stephen Hawes & Co. Party Wall Surveyors in 2019 Stephen had also worked on both residential and commercial projects within the insurance industry as a claims manager, loss assessor, surveyor and project manager.
He is multi Chartered as a Chartered Construction Manager & Chartered Building Consultancy (MCIOB), Chartered Building Engineer (MCABE), Party Wall Surveyor (MFPWS) and regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Stephen also has a second practice Stephen Hawes & Co. Dispute Resolution www.disputeservice.co.uk where he serves commercial clients and private homeowners as an Accredited Mediator, Arbitrator and Construction Adjudicator. (MCIArb).
Stephen’s clients include other surveying consultancies, he also works with Property Developers, Project Managers and Housing Associations across the UK as well as private homeowners to resolve disputes under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 accepting appointments on behalf of both building owners and adjoining owners relating to such works as loft conversions, new builds/extensions and basement conversions.
The original honest, approachable expert, he is passionate about delivering the highest quality professional service to his clients so to ensure a smooth and efficient process no matter how large or small the project/dispute.
Stephen’s hobbies which just about, on occasion, pull him away from the profession that he loves include attending the Emirates Stadium to watch his beloved Arsenal FC and attempting to hit a golf ball with a 7-iron.
